Terms of service
Last updated: 27 July 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Culture House by MurWalls online store and any order you place through it. Please read them before using the store or purchasing a product.
1. About us
This store is operated as Culture House by MurWalls. In these terms, “Culture House”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Culture House by MurWalls.
You can contact us at murwallsculturehouse@gmail.com, through our contact form, or by post at 37 St. Ladoc Rd, Bristol BS31 2DR, United Kingdom.
2. Other policies
Our Privacy Policy, cookie preferences, and any returns, shipping or product-specific information shown on the store form part of these terms where relevant. If there is a conflict, mandatory consumer law takes priority.
3. Using the store
You may use the store only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the store, interfere with its security or operation, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, scrape it in a way that places an unreasonable load on our systems, or use its content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
You are responsible for ensuring that information you provide is accurate and for keeping any account credentials confidential.
4. Products and artwork
We take reasonable care to describe and display products accurately. Colours and fine details can vary between screens, and handmade or artist-produced works may have minor variations. Measurements and edition information are approximate unless stated otherwise.
Buying a physical artwork, print or other product does not transfer copyright or any other intellectual property rights in the artwork, image, artist name, brand or product design. You may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works from protected content without permission from the relevant rights holder.
5. Orders and contract formation
Placing an order is an offer to buy. After you place an order, we will send an acknowledgement. A binding contract is formed when we accept the order, normally when we send an order confirmation or dispatch notice.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if, for example, a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, information is incorrect, a pricing error is obvious, purchase limits are exceeded, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If we cancel after taking payment, we will refund the amount paid.
6. Prices, taxes and payment
Prices are shown in the currency selected on the store and include or exclude taxes as indicated at checkout. Delivery charges, duties, import taxes and other charges will be shown or described before you complete your order where we can calculate them.
You must use a payment method that you are authorised to use. Payments are processed by Shopify and the payment providers offered at checkout. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
7. Delivery
Available delivery methods, estimated times and charges are shown at checkout or on the relevant product page. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date. We will deliver without undue delay and, for UK consumer orders, within 30 days unless a different period is agreed.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Risk in the goods passes to you when you, or a person identified by you, takes physical possession. Ownership passes when we receive full payment.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or local charges. Unless checkout states otherwise, the recipient is responsible for these charges.
8. Cancellations, returns and refunds
If you are a UK consumer buying online, you will usually have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after the day you receive the goods, without giving a reason. To cancel, email us a clear statement at murwallsculturehouse@gmail.com before the cancellation period expires.
You must return cancelled goods within 14 days after telling us that you wish to cancel. Unless the goods are faulty, not as described, or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of return. Please take reasonable care of the goods and package them securely.
We will refund eligible payments, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier. We may reduce the refund to reflect loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
The cancellation right does not apply where a statutory exception applies, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised. A product is not excluded merely because it is a limited edition. We will identify custom or personalised products before purchase where this exception applies.
Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights if goods are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose. Contact us promptly if there is a problem so that we can arrange an appropriate remedy under applicable consumer law.
9. Availability and store information
Products may be limited in quantity and can sell out. We may change or discontinue products and correct errors in descriptions, availability or pricing. If an error affects an order you have placed, we will contact you and give you the option to continue on the corrected basis or receive a refund.
10. Promotions and discount codes
Promotions and discount codes are subject to their stated conditions, availability and expiry dates. Unless we say otherwise, they cannot be exchanged for cash, applied retrospectively or combined with another offer. We may withdraw a promotion where required by law or where there has been error, fraud or misuse.
11. Intellectual property
The store and its content, including text, graphics, photographs, video, logos, artwork, layout and software, are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view the store and make reasonable copies for personal, non-commercial shopping use. No other right or licence is granted.
12. Third-party services and links
The store is hosted by Shopify and may use third-party payment, delivery, media and analytics services. Third parties may apply their own terms and privacy notices. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or availability.
13. Our responsibility
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, business losses arising from consumer use, or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, provided we take reasonable steps to minimise the effect.
14. Changes to the store or these terms
We may update the store and these terms to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations. The terms in force when your order is accepted will apply to that order unless a change is required by law or you agree to it.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law of the country where you live. Consumers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in their local courts. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Please contact us first if you have a concern so that we can try to resolve it.
16. General terms
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. These terms are between you and us; no other person has a right to enforce them unless applicable law provides otherwise.
17. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to murwallsculturehouse@gmail.com or Culture House by MurWalls, 37 St. Ladoc Rd, Bristol BS31 2DR, United Kingdom.
